Includes legend indicating politcal boundaries. Shows topography, drainage, boundaries, cities and towns. Features Native American territories (e.g. Sioux). Descriptive text throughout. "Dédiée à l'Académie Royale des Sciences de l Institute de France." "Œuvre posthume." Decorative border and ornate font for title. Inset maps: Détails des environs de Mexico et de La Vera-Cruz. Scale [approximately 1:2,800,000] -- Complément de la carte donnant le Yucatan et une partie des provinces unies de l'Amérique Centrale. Scale [approximately 1:4,800,000].
