Base compiled by U.S. Geological Survey for map on scale 1:1,000,000 with additional information obtained by Herbert E. Gregory in 1908-1913 ; Geology by Herbert E. Gregory, assisted by K. O. Heald, J. E. Pogue, and W. B. Emery. Hachure relief. Color legend of sedimentary and igneous rocks. Symbol legend shows "dip and strike," "horizontal bed," "mine or quarry," "Prospect." Shows railroads, roads, cities and towns, various locations (including ruins) and regions, reservations, waterways, water sources. "Professional paper 93 Plate II." "House Doc.," "64th Cong., 1st. Sess." From "Geology of the Navajo country, a reconnaissance of parts of Arizona, New Mexico and Utah," published 1917.
