This polygon shapefile depicts ward boundaries for the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District in the County of San Mateo, California. The district is divided into seven geographic wards, each represented by an elected Board member for a four year term. The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District is a regional greenbelt system comprised of over 60,000 acres of land in 26 open space protected preserves. This layer is part of a collection of GIS data for San Mateo County, California. This coverage can be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analyses of geospatial data.
