Shows major settlements, areas of Indian habitation, and political divisions for the known extent of the continent of North America with northwestern portions as "incognita". Great lakes are complete, mouth of the Mississippi is mapped and labeled. Includes text notes about certain areas. Includes a large decorative cartouche in the upper left surrounded by images of natives. Below is a small crest. At the bottom left there is a small cartouche including various linear scales. "To the Honorable Anthony Hammond, Esq., One of the Commissioners of Her Maj[es]ties. Navy, This Map is humbly Dedicated and Presented by his Obliged Servants", "Iohn Senex Sculpt.".
