From British surveys to 1915 ; published Apr. 1892, at the Hydrographic Office, under the authority of the Secretary of the Navy. Depths shown by soundings; relief by drawings, shading, and spot heights. 1935 variation compasses. Buoy legend, text under "Chinese system of buoys and beacons." Shows shoals, reefs, drainage, islands, towns, various buildings (such as "British post office," "Race course"), marshland, roads, railroads. Descriptive text, such as "Cultivated plain" and "Ruins of walled city." Authorities include Admiralty charts 1767, 1959. Old names and Wade-Giles transliterated names (1943). No. 1322.
