Coordinates approximate and based on Greenwich meridian. 8 bar scales on map, given in "Myriamétres ou Lieues Nouvelles," "Lieues communes de France de 25 au Degreé," "Milles Anglo-Américains de 69 1/2 au Degreé," "Lieues Marines d'Espagna de 20 au Degreé," "Kilométres," "Métres," "Toises de France," and "Pieds Anglais." Shows topography, waterways, political boundaries, cities, routes (e.g. Escalante Expedition). Features California gold region, showing Sutterville on the American River.
