California as a large island of Briggs type, with nearly flat northern coast. C. Mendocino is northern-most point on California. Anian and Straet Anian to northeast. Partial outline of Zelandia Nova to far southwest. Cartography and title cartouche based on Visscher's map of 1670. And is very similar to DeWit's 1670 map, Ogilby's 1671 map, and Meursius map of [1671-73]. per Gerardvm a Schagen Issued in: De nieuwe en onbekende weereld of beschrijving van America... / A.
