Great Lakes are open-ended to west. Similar to Sanson’s earlier maps of the same title with engraving by D’Winter, Peyrounin, and Piscart, some with California’s northern coastline flat and some indented. Title cartouche of scrollwork, same as maps engraved by Peyrounin and D’Winter.
