This was the first folio-sized map of Africa to be engraved and printed in the United States of America. Relief shown pictorially. Prime meridian: London. Coordinates approximate and based on Greenwich meridian. Bar scale on given in "British Statute Miles." Carey's general atlas. Philadelphia : Mathew Carey, 1804. There are several geographical inaccuracies and fictitious tribal names.
