World map published on two sheets with Greek lettering. The author, Presbyter Chrysanthos, was the Patriarch of Jerusalem. It is dedicated to John Constantine Bessaraba whose portrait and coat of arms sit above the two hemispheres. The maps are encircled by notes in Greek, astronomical diagrams, and navigational instruments. Shirley (598). In Greek with Latin sub-title. California as an island with broad, indented northern coast; southern portion is elongated and narrow. Labelled as California in Greek. Presbyter Chrysanthos.
