- Maps are part of the "Peutinger table", which represents the imperial roads and posts throughout the Roman Empire at about 250 A.D. Relief shown pictorially. North oriented toward left of sheet. Individual titles underneath each map. Show topography, waterways, routes. Pictorial vignettes of settlements. Descriptive text throughout. Jansson's Peutinger table was reprinted in various editions of Accuratissima Orbis antiqui delineatio and in later editions edited by Georg Horn. Map also appeared in Jansson's Novus atlas. Appears in Jansson's Accuratissima Orbis antiqui delineatio, Amsterdam, 1652.
