Pacific Supply Lines

- WWII broadside propaganda map, published in India, in order to keep the local populous informed about the war. The map shows the primary and secondary supply lines in the Pacific, from both sides. C.P.D., located somewhere in India, were responsible for this W.N.R. series of World War II propaganda maps, published from circa 1943 to the end of the war. Untitled ancillary maps show: 1) illustrated airplanes advancing toward Truk, Caroline Islands (Operation Hailstone, February 1944); and 2) Dates of battles along Solomon Islands and New Britain/Ireland islands (Aug 7. 1942 at Guadalcanal and Dec. 15 [1943] at New Britain). Coordinates approximate (Greenwich meridian). 2 ancillary maps. "W.N.R. 199" bottom right margin.
