Legend: Gold found in the Localities marked thus Workings for Gold [square dots] Quartz Veins [red line segments]. Bar scale on map in "miles." Shows topography, drainage, cities and towns, routes, mines. Descriptive text throughout (e.g.: The surface of the Great Basin is covered with detritus ... gravel, serpentine, and volcanic rock).
