To track Emergency Notices submitted to the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. Notices of Emergency Timber Operations are submitted to the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection under the requirements of PRC §4592 and 14 CCR §§ 1052-1052.3 to remove timber on an emergency basis.The Forest Practice Rules define Emergencies as "conditions that will cause waste or loss of timber resources to the timber owner that may be minimized by immediate harvesting of infected, infested, or damaged timber or salvaging down timber...". Emergency Notices are valid for one year after being accepted by the department.
The user will cite the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection as the original source of the maps, but will clearly denote cases where the original maps have been updated, modified, or in any way altered from the original condition. The State of California and the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy of data or maps. Neither the State nor the Department shall be liable under any circumstances for any direct, special, incidental, or consequential damages with respect to any claim by any user or third party on account of or arising from the use of data or maps.
