- This map stretches from Sumatra in the southwest to the lower tip of Vietnam (CochinChina) in the north to 'Netherlands Borneo' in the south east. Among smaller islands are the Anambas Islands and Natuna Islands. Much of the east coast of Malaysia (to Kuala Trengganu and Pulau Redang) is charted. All the islands off the south coast of Malaysia are included. Relief shown by contours, spot heights. Depths shown by soundings. "Sounding in fathoms." "Heights in feet above mean sea level." "No. 5501"--Upper left and lower right margins.
