Relief shown by hachures and spot heights. Legends include railways (including proposed) and minerals. Text under map sheet title: "Shewing Bevilaqua & Thompson's Battery Site and "Tramline Survey" for 9 miles east of Lake Cowan; Connecting with numerous Mines on the Great Main Lines of Reefs and a plentiful supply of Water at all Seasons; the "Best Site for Water Supply" and economic treatment and handling the "Output" in all Million operations and processes for the abstraction of Gold from the "Output" of the Mines. Ten heads of Stampers now in operation, & another ten heads in course of construction, the first erected battery on the Goldfield for Pubic [sic] Crushing. Shows waterways, various buildings, sandy areas. Descriptive text on both on sheets concerning topography, mineralogical makeup, coloring, development, etc.
