- Prepared for the New York Times By C. S. Hammond & Co., 30 Church St., New York. Coordinates approximate (Greenwich meridian). Relief shown by spot heights. Legends. Shows railroads, boundaries, roads, principal wireless stations, waterways, canals, various fortifications, aircraft depots, cities. Also shows battle lines (dated December 21 and 31 1917), and furthest German advance. Versos include artwork and photos (portraits, trenches, troops, machinery, ceremonies, etc.), with textual descriptions. Five sheets published in a series of Sunday papers from 30 December 1917 to 27 January 1918. In top margins: "This map is drawn so that it can be put together with other sections to appear hereafter and to make a map 51x66 inches."
