- Copperplate engraved. Not found in Koeman (possibly printed from Janssonius' or Visscher's plates). Auctoribus Gerardo et Leonardo Valk. cum privilegio ordinum HollandiƦ et West FristiƦ. California as large island on second Sanson model, with rugged coastline throughout, and with "Fretum Aniani" and "Terra Esonis" to northwest. Place names along California coast, but interior shows mountains and trees. Title cartouche same as on Allard's map of [1700] with crown of feathers, "America" (female native) surrounded by native flora and fauna, receiving a subject (lower left). Wagner 496; Tooley 68(gives [1690-1700] date; Leighly 134.
