Military sketch of part of British Kaffraria
- Description:
- This sketch is based on two lines measured by chains from Ft. Glamorgan to the point just above Ebb & Flow drift on the Buffalo River and on the ridge above Igoda River through Fort Grey towards the Buffalo River, all the bearings having been taken by Schmalcalder's compass. The points plotted with greater accuracy than could have been expected with such means and several of these points are marked thus. They would be readily identified by any one wishing to continue this map. The Keiskamma River and the Coast from that River to the Goolah is laid down from old maps.
