Abstract
This dataset is intended to provide an inventory of lands accessible to the public and lands that are protected by the Land Trust in Napa County, California as of 2011. This layer includes lands that have a conservation easement, are property transfers to the Napa County Land Trust, are in a permanent preserve or other federal, state or other local protected lands.

Changed file name from "parks,shp" to "Napa_Parks_2011.shp"
Process Step
Description
This layer was derived from the Napa county tax assessor parcels layer, the Land Trust of Napa County and Green Info Networks layer of open space. An inventory of all land in Napa County available to the public for recreation was derived from the open space layer. This was than used to select out the corresponding parcels from the Napa County parcel layer. The Land Trust map was used to select out parcels from Napa County that coinsided with what the Land Trust was showing on their map. Some areas were updated to reflect the actual parcel area. Federal, State and local parcels were also selected from the parcel layer to complete the layer.
